Handpoke is traditional method of tattooing method of tattooing.
I do not use electricity or a machine.
I hold the needle and poke into the skin manually.
Many people say that hand poke is slightly less painful.
Due to the lower amount of pokes into the skin, the skin is able to heal a lot quicker and with less trauma.
Although this method does take longer than a machine-made tattoo.

Aftercare is one of the most important steps to having a great tattoo.
After your tattoo is complete, I will cover it with Second Skin. This is a clear layer of plastic that sticks to your skin and protects it by preventing bacteria from entering the wound.
Leave this protective layer on the tattoo for two days. You can shower with this as it is waterproof.
With clean clean hands, use warm water to gently remove the Second Skin.
Gently clean the area with natural soap and water.
Moisturise the tattoo with a thin layer of cocoa butter 2-3 times a day, or whenever it becomes dry.
Keep this up for 2 weeks, until it has fully healed.
I would recommend moisturising your skin daily to keep your tattoos looking fresh.
Other things to avoid whilst healing a tattoo include:
No submerging the tattoo in water (the pool, the bath, the sea etc),
No direct sunlight on the healing tattoo
No false tanning
Try to let your tattoo air dry after a shower - or use clean paper towel to dab dry,
No exfoliation of the area for 2 weeks- 1 month.
Once healed, make sure to apply good strength SPF to the skin in order to protect the tattoo as much as possible whilst in the sun.
